Lehigh & New England FA-1 #701

American Locomotive Company (Alco) FA-1 #701 of the Lehigh & New England in its as-delivered appearance.

When the LNE's new Alcos started arriving in Spring of 1948 they did not have the road numbers painted on the nose.  From the accounts I've read, it didn’t take more than a few weeks before the railroads shop in Pen Argyl had added them.  Without them, viewed head on from down the track, you had no idea what locomotive you were looking at.

All 11oz and 15oz ceramic mugs are microwavable and dishwasher safe.  While they are very durable, they can be scratched by hard metal edges.  Avoid putting them next to silverware in the dishwasher.
